Well done on staff, students and parents on making it through another busy term. A special thank you to our wellbeing services leader, Tanya Borg, who has run three wellbeing programs this term. Our Stride Forward, Iron Armour and Boys to Noble Men have been a wonderful success. In wider pastoral care news, the Year 7 and 8 students participated in Backflips Against Bullying and the year ten students had their wellbeing day with presentations from Your Choicez.
Next term select Year 10 and 11 girls will be participating in She Rises. This program is a wellbeing initiative, designed to support and empower young women to building self-esteem and confidence, identifying personal strengths, understand and set healthy boundaries in relationships and promote overall wellbeing and resilience. Select Year 10 boys will also have the opportunity to participate in the Real Strength program with Project 4 Hope.

By strengthening their ability to connect with others, your teen is more likely to build a strong support network, which is key to their wellbeing and resilience. Here are some things you can do to empower them with the skills and support they need to manage their own social lives. Read more from ReachOut here.
Loneliness in teens can be hard to spot – and even harder to talk about. If your teenager is shutting themselves away and acting distant, you can support them by strengthening your own connection, helping them to connect with others and guiding them towards support. Read more from ReachOut here.
