As we reach the end of another productive term at Kolbe Catholic College, I am filled with gratitude and pride reflecting on the many achievements and accomplishments our community has celebrated in recent months.
This term saw outstanding engagement from families and future students during our school tours at both campuses. We also made great progress on campus development, with the construction of the new link bridge between the STEM and Science buildings at our St Clare of Assisi Campus (Greenvale) proceeding smoothly and set for completion in time for the first day of Term 3.
Our Teacher Recruitment Evening welcomed prospective teachers, highlighting the collegiality and professionalism that define Kolbe. Our Unit 3/4 students completed the GAT with maturity and focus, and the Year 10 Dinner was a resounding success, with students celebrating together and creating lasting memories.
A special milestone this term was the official opening of our St Catherine of Bologna Campus in Mickleham. The ceremony on Wednesday, 27 May, brought together a distinguished group of guests, including Victorian Deputy Premier and Education Minister Ben Carroll, MACS Executive Director Dr Edward Simons, Victorian Catholic Education Authority CEO Professor Elizabeth Labone, as well as our own College leadership, students, staff, and parish representatives.
Another highlight was our Cultural Day held on our last day of Term. It was a part of a week-long celebration that unified our community in a powerful display of diversity, inclusion, and joy. The energy and pride shown by both staff and students were truly heartwarming. These moments remind us just how lucky we are to belong to a community made up of so many cultures, languages, and stories.
As we wrap up another term, I want to express my heartfelt thanks to all students, staff, and families for the energy, generosity, and care you bring to our community each and every day.
A reminder that I will begin my six months of long service leave from Monday 13 July. During this period, Kelley Revelman will serve as Acting Principal. I wish you all the very best for the remainder of 2026, and I look forward to returning in 2027.
Wishing you all a safe and restful break.
Warm regards,
Nick Scully
Principal
