Over eight weeks, Year 9 Core EXPLORE classes worked hard on the STEM MAD Challenge. Students investigated one of three United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and developed a STEM-based solution to address an issue related to their chosen goal.
This hands-on project encouraged creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork as students tackled real-world problems with innovative approaches. From brainstorming concepts to refining their solutions, each group showed impressive dedication and enthusiasm throughout the process.
On Tuesday 16 June, students presented their projects at the annual STEM MAD Student Showcase. During the showcase, peers visited each team’s display, asked questions about their projects, and voted for their favourite solution.
