At Kolbe Catholic College, we believe that true growth happens when learning goes beyond the classroom; when students are encouraged to challenge themselves, work together and strive for excellence. Our partnership with the Liverpool FC International Academy (LFCIA) brings this philosophy to life through the global language of football.
Grounded in the shared values of ambition, commitment, dignity, and unity, the LFCIA program helps students develop not only as skilled players, but as respectful, resilient and community-minded young people. It’s about character as much as capability, learning to play with purpose, humility and heart.
The Liverpool FC International Academy program at Kolbe will be available to students across both Kolbe Catholic College campuses, with opportunities also extended to the wider community through community days and holiday clinics.
Together, Kolbe and LFCIA are creating pathways that nurture confidence, connection, and growth, ensuring that on the field and beyond, everyone grows.
Fuelled by a shared passion for excellence and inclusivity, the collaboration seeks to encourage young people to embrace their potential and train ‘The Liverpool Way’ through school, afterschool skills clinics, and holiday training programs.
'The Liverpool Way' is built on four core values: Ambition, Commitment, Dignity, and Unity.
This program is not about finding the next Lionel Messi or Mary Fowler, it is about encouraging students to have dreams, to be willing to step outside their comfort zone to discover and apply their God-given talents, to be the best they can be, and know that dreams are to be achieved.
Achieving one's goals does not always come easy and we want each of our students to live out our College motto of 'Perseverance Conquers All' and be willing to put their heart and soul into everything.
We want to ensure that our programs and experiences enable our students to have a positive impact on themselves and others, and to earn respect through honesty and integrity.
We want our students to be the best that they can be and to work to bring out the best in each other.
The Liverpool Football Club International Academy (LFC IA) program will form part of the Year 7 and 8 Health and Physical Education curriculum, aligning closely with the Physical Movement component.
Delivered over a series of weeks, the program provides students with the opportunity to develop their skills through 'The Liverpool Way', a values-based approach. Beyond improving technical ability, students are encouraged to grow in teamwork, character and confidence.
