All absences require written explanation from a parent or guardian.
If a student is absent from school:
for one day, a parent or guardian is asked to call Student Services on the morning of the absence;
For two or more days, it is the responsibility of a parent or guardian to notify the school of the reason and to supply a note upon the student’s return to school.
VCE/VCAL/VET students who are absent from school are required to supply a medical certificate.
If a student's absence is known in advance, a parent or guardian is expected to inform the College.
A text message will be sent from Student Services to a parent or guardian if notification of a student’s absence has not been received.
In cases when a student is representing the school, or at an organised activity, the student will be marked as present.
When families go on holidays, or other times of extended leave, we request that parents please complete a 'Notice of Extended Leave' form and hand in to Student Services or email to firstname.lastname@example.org
