Year 10 students recently welcomed back alumni for a special ‘Chalk and Talk’ session held ahead of subject selection evening. Guest speakers Michael Tabacco, Taylah Liberatore, Caitlin Richardson, and Alexander Grech shared their experiences and advice with the next generation.

Each alumnus spoke about their own journey after school, sharing personal stories and practical advice about subject choices and career decisions. Students heard how the speakers navigated challenges, made important decisions, and found their way into their current roles.

The session gave students the chance to hear first-hand how others have made the transition from school to their careers. Many found the speakers’ honesty and real-life advice helpful as they prepare to select their own subjects and think about the future.

Events like ‘Chalk and Talk’ help connect current students with recent graduates, building a sense of community and support. The session encouraged Year 10s to think carefully about their next steps and showed the value of learning from those who have gone before them.
