Our Year 12 Business Management students recently enjoyed an exciting excursion to the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery as part of their study of Operations Management.

The visit provided students with a valuable opportunity to see business concepts come to life in a real-world setting. They learned about key operations management concepts including inputs, processes and outputs, quality management, materials management, and the use of technology and innovation to improve efficiency.

A highlight of the day was the hands-on chocolate-making workshop, where students created their own chocolate lollipops. Of course, no visit to the Chocolaterie would be complete without sampling some of the delicious chocolate varieties on offer. Students enjoyed tasting a range of chocolates and learning about the ingredients and techniques used to create different flavours and products.

Overall, a wonderful day with a great view!
