Last week, the streets of Greenvale were transformed into a sea of purple as both campuses of Kolbe Catholic College came together for our annual Walk Against Domestic Violence. Joined by special guests, our students, teachers, and community partners walked side by side, united for a cause that touches so many lives.
The walk was more than just a symbolic gesture. It was an opportunity for our College community to raise awareness, show support for survivors, and spark important conversations about ending domestic violence. As we moved through the streets of Greenvale, the sense of solidarity was unmistakable. Every step taken was a statement that domestic violence has no place in our homes, schools, or communities.
The presence of local leaders and advocates reinforced the message that real change happens when communities work together. Purple, the colour of domestic violence awareness, became a vivid reminder of hope, resilience, and collective action.
At Kolbe Catholic College, we are committed to keeping the conversation going, supporting those affected, and educating our students about healthy relationships and respect.
