Two Year 12 Kolbe students are taking part in the Access Monash Mentoring Program this year, getting a head start on their journey to university. Jennifer and Bitsha have each been paired with a dedicated mentor (a current university student) who’s there to offer support, guidance, and real-world advice.
Through regular chats and catch-ups, the mentors help them navigate the ups and downs of their final year at school. Whether it’s tips on managing study loads or sharing what university life is really like, this program gives them a valuable inside look at what’s ahead and helps them explore their options after graduation.
It’s a great opportunity to build confidence, ask questions, and make the transition from school to university a little bit smoother.
Jennifer was also successful in being appointed a Mentee Ambassador, which is a leadership role to promote the Access Monash Mentoring Program to our students.
