Pollen Season / Bee Season

With Spring being in full swing, a lot of the Australian native plants that we have on our school grounds are blooming, which in turn is attracting bees due to its sweet nectar. Whilst the school are looking at measures for managing the bees and the plants, we kindly ask for all students to be mindful when in the school yard, especially around garden beds with colourful plants and to also not provoke the bees.

This is also a good time to remind families of students who are at risk of anaphylaxis, to ensure that their ASCIA Action Plans are up to date and are with the College First Aid team, along with their EpiPens. Any concerns please reach our to the First Aid team.

The change to legislation has been made to include more types of workers having the responsibility to report child abuse and misconduct, such as contractors, labourers and hire agencies - and not just those who are directly employed by the organisation. The changes have been made to help strengthen child safety and the ability to investigate non-compliance.
