On Friday 25 July, our new Taskmaster lunchtime club for Year 7 and 8 students kicked off with great enthusiasm and creativity. Fifteen students joined the first session, diving into a fun and challenging activity: building the tallest tower using only pasta, marshmallows, tape and string!

Working in teams, students showcased impressive negotiating, turn-taking, and problem-solving skills as they planned and constructed their towers. After some sticky situations and strategic thinking, one team’s structure stood tallest, earning them the first set of points on the Taskmaster leaderboard.

The club will continue to run every week in Term 3, with fresh challenges and chances to earn points at each session. At the end of the term, the team with the highest score will be crowned champions and win a special prize!
