VTAC is Open – Year 12 Students

Do you plan on studying next year at Tafe or University – most courses need to be applied for via the The Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) system. The Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) process course applications on behalf of most tertiary institutes (including both Tafe & University) in Victoria. The also produce the Year 12 Guide: https://vtac.edu.au/guides/y12guide

VCE Subject Prerequisites

Students in Years 10 - 12 can download VCE prerequisites for the 2026, 2027, and 2028 university intakes for the following courses (most are courses at Victorian universities):

Important Information for Victorian Uni Applications

Initial Teacher Education - Victoria

Students planning to apply for Initial Teacher Education courses in Victoria are required to sit the Casper test: CSP 10409 – Australian Undergraduate Teacher Education. You will need to create a VTAC account before you can register for the test. Register for the test via https://acuityinsights.app/casper/

Students applying for Initial Teacher education courses at Australian Catholic University may be required to complete the ACU Teacher Selector Statement.

Applying for a course that requires a folio, interview, design task or audition?

Once you add the course/s to your VTAC preference list and submit your application, you will be emailed information about the additional selection criteria you need to complete. Check the inbox in your VTAC account for up-to-date information. The university you are applying to may have folio and audition preparation sessions – contact them to find out.

Courses with early closing dates

The following courses have early closing dates via VTAC:
· Monash University: direct medicine courses.
· University of Melbourne: Fine Arts and Music.

Course applications must be submitted by Thursday 29 September, www.vtac.edu.au/early-close

Year 12 Students – Early Admissions

To be eligible for the early admission programs listed for Victoria, you will need to do the following:

• Step 1: apply for the courses via the early entry program direct to the universities and complete any required forms.

• Step 2: add the courses to your Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) preference list www.vtac.edu.au

• La Trobe University - Aspire Early Admission Program www.latrobe.edu.au/study/aspire
