It has certainly been a busy and joy-filled start to Term 3, and I am continually grateful for the way our community comes together to celebrate, serve and support one another.

In recent weeks, we have shared so many moments that truly reflect who we are as a Catholic College. Our Create and Connect HeARTwork Handover Night was a moving reminder of the compassion that sits at the heart of our school. Families came together to decorate paper bags that are now donated to the Northern Hospital Palliative Care Unit - a simple, yet powerful act of dignity and kindness.

A particularly memorable moment this term was our Shave to Stop Cancer event. While losing my hair was a small act, together we have already raised an incredible $9,625 for cancer research and support. With one last push, I am confident we can reach our $10,000 goal - a milestone that would make a real difference for those in need. You can donate by visiting https://shorturl.at/4ZJWX.

We also gathered as one community for Kolbe Feast Day, beginning with a whole school Mass that celebrated our faith and shared identity. The day included our College’s participation in the Walk Against Domestic Violence, a powerful public witness to our commitment to justice, safety and compassion. Another highlight was the heartwarming performance by residents of Levande Retirement Village who joined voices with our College Choir during Kolbe’s Got Talent. It was a beautiful example of connection across generations.

In addition, the Year 12 Formal was a wonderful celebration of our senior students, marking an important milestone in their final year with grace and joy. Science Week also brought energy and curiosity to our classrooms, reminding us of the power of discovery and innovation in shaping the future.

Each of these occasions highlights the richness of life here at Kolbe - a place where learning, faith and service are lived out in meaningful and inspiring ways.

I thank every student, staff member and family who contributed to making these moments possible, and I look forward to the many more opportunities we will share together in the weeks ahead.
