Thursday 25 July was a significant day for our Year 12 students — marking a key milestone in the first week of their penultimate term of Secondary school.
The day began with a Wellbeing Program that focused on connection, reflection, and personal growth. Female students took part in workshops run by the Big Sister Experience, exploring themes such as self-worth, resilience, and the power of positive relationships. Meanwhile, male students gathered in the library with Eric Agyeman, who delivered a powerful session on what it means to be a noble man in the 21st century — encouraging open conversations about identity, purpose, and respectful relationships.
Following the workshops, students and their Pastoral Care staff came together for a shared morning tea. It was a relaxed and enjoyable time to reconnect as a cohort, enjoy some treats, and take a well-earned pause before the big evening ahead.
That evening, Melrose Receptions became the scene for the much-anticipated Year 12 Formal. Students arrived in style, walking the red carpet in an array of stunning dresses and sharp suits. The atmosphere was electric, with students, staff, and families soaking in the joy and celebration of the night.
The event was incredibly well attended, and the dance floor remained full from start to finish — a testament to the spirit and unity of the Class of 2025.
It was a truly memorable day — blending personal reflection with celebration — and a perfect way to launch into this final stage of SACs, exams, and the journey toward Graduation in Term 4.
We are so proud of our Year 12s and look forward to supporting them through the exciting months ahead.
