Recently, the Kolbe Catholic College community came together for our Walk Against Domestic Violence, coinciding with our Feast Day celebrations. The atmosphere was filled with hope as approximately 1,300 students and over 200 staff members donned vibrant purple T-shirts bearing the poignant slogan "NOT NOW, NOT EVER."
Participants flooded the streets, embodying a united front to raise awareness and advocate for those affected by domestic violence. It was a powerful sight to behold—a sea of purple rallying together to convey a vital message: we stand in solidarity with victims and are committed to ending the cycle of violence.
We were honoured to have distinguished guests join us for this important event, including Basem Abdo MP, member for Calwell, Mayor Jarrod Bell of Hume City Council, and representatives from MACS. Our friends from surrounding Catholic Primary and Secondary schools also participated, amplifying our collective voice.
This event was more than just a walk; it was a statement—a clear "NO" to domestic violence. We carry the spirit of the walk forward, continuing to raise awareness and support for those who need it most. Together, we will make a difference!
