This term, selected Year 9 and 10 female students participated in She Rises, a wellbeing program designed to build confidence and support positive personal growth. Through engaging workshops and discussions, students explored themes of identity, strengths, and self-belief.
A key focus of the program was developing healthy relationship skills, particularly learning how to set and maintain boundaries. Students practiced assertive communication and reflected on what respectful, supportive friendships look and feel like, skills that will benefit them far beyond the classroom.
In the final session, participants worked together on a collaborative art piece representing unity and empowerment. This meaningful artwork will be displayed in the B Building as a lasting reminder of the growth and confidence they gained throughout the program.
Minecraft Club has continued to be a hit, with students working as a team to complete different objectives in an inclusive and social lunchtime setting. Key goals of this term have been to begin work on a replica of Kolbe Catholic College, beginning with C Building. The aim is to aid students in navigating Kolbe’s St Clare campus virtually, with this particularly helpful for new students and future Year 7 students.
Minecraft Club members have also been involved in using their creativity to create a shared world known as The Castle World. Students have completed rollercoasters, trapdoors, dungeons, aquariums and skyscrapers in this world with them encouraged to continue to innovate and use their imagination to add to the increasingly complex world.
As we wrap up Term 4 and head into the holiday season, we encourage all students to take time to rest, recharge, and connect with family and friends. Please note that school wellbeing services will be closed for the holidays and the team will not be contactable. The holidays can be a wonderful time, but if you find yourself needing support, please remember there are services available.
If students require wellbeing support in 2026, a new referral can be made through their Year Level Leader. Please note that school wellbeing services are short-term and focused on immediate needs.
