Student Medical Management Advice

For the College to assist your children with the management of their medical conditions or general health concerns, it is advised that all parents/guardians familiarise themselves with the below information.

This information will be re-released as a reminder at the beginning of 2026.

Medical Management Plan (MMP)

Under the MACS Medical Management Policy, parents/guardians must inform the College of any diagnosed health care, personal care need, complex care or medical condition of a student, as diagnosed by an AHPRA registered medical professional.

To inform the school, the following two documents must be completed in full, signed by an AHPRA registered medical professional and returned to the College:

Please find attached both documents for your convenience and for your use.

For the College to be able to support the student’s medical, health care and wellbeing needs, a Student Health Support Plan (SHSP) will then be completed by the respective Year Level Leader in consultation with the parent/guardian of the student.

Authority to Administer Medication at School

Under the College’s Administration of Medication Policy, staff can no longer administer any medication to students at school or during a school activity or allow a student to self-administer, unless the College has been provided with an approved MMP and MAF. Please be aware that this also applies to all over-the-counter medication, such as Panadol and antihistamines.

Wherever possible, parents/guardians are advised to administer medication in the morning before school (e.g., Telfast/Zyrtec on high pollen days).

For your convenience, please find attached a copy of the MMP and MAF. All completed forms are required to be emailed to the First Aid Officers: firstaid@kcc.vic.edu.au or returned to Student Services at the relevant campus.

If you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to the First Aid Officers at First Aid on 8339 3060.
