As we approach the close of another remarkable year at Kolbe Catholic College, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all members of our community for your support throughout 2025. This year has been filled with individual and collective achievements that have defined the spirit of our college.
Our students continue to inspire us all. The fierce competition shown in sporting events, the talent and creativity on display during the Performing Arts Showcase, and the academic excellence recently celebrated at our Presentation Evening, are but a few highlights of 2025 that reflect the remarkable abilities and dedication of our student body.
I am especially proud to congratulate Emmanuel Enwia, who has been named the 2025 College Dux with an outstanding ATAR of 97.4. An achievement that reflects not only Emmanuel’s hard work, but also the support of families and teachers who have guided our Year 12 students through this important milestone. We are proud of all our graduates and wish them every success as they embark on the next stage of their journey.
This year also marks an exciting new chapter for Kolbe Catholic College with the construction of the St Catherine of Bologna campus in Mickleham, set to open its doors for Year 7 students in 2026. This expansion heralds a new era for our community, and I look forward to welcoming our incoming students and families to this stunning, innovative learning environment.
Our Presentation Evening was a special moment to pause and give thanks for so many achievements and acknowledge the dedication of staff who make this journey a joyful one for our students. I recognise the tireless efforts of our educators and support staff, who continually strive for excellence and nurture the best in each student.
As we welcome new faces to our college, we have recently held our first Staff Induction Day for our 2026 team. At the same time, we bid farewell to several valued staff members who are moving on to new opportunities. We thank them for their service, commitment, and the positive impact they have made during their time at Kolbe and wish them every success in their future endeavours.
With the arrival of Advent and the festive season, we are surrounded by joyful reminders of Christmas. From nativity scenes and carols to gatherings with loved ones. Advent is a time of expectancy and preparation, a chance to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas: the gift of Jesus Christ, whose presence brings hope and love into our world and our lives. I hope that you and your families find peace and joy in the company of loved ones during this special time.
Wishing all our families a safe, restful and meaningful holiday break I look forward to welcoming our students back in 2026 for another year of growth and achievement.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
