This Christmas, our Parents and Friends Committee led a truly heartwarming initiative, inviting our College community to spread some holiday cheer and make a difference in the lives of people who need it the most. The spirit of giving shone bright as students, staff and families donated to bring joy to elderly members of our wider community who may be feeling a little more alone during the festive season.
Recently, members of the Kolbe staff, accompanied by none other than Santa himself, set off to ARCARE to deliver the gifts to the residents. The atmosphere was lively and joyful as staff, Santa, and residents joined together in singing cherished Christmas carols. The room was filled with music, cheer, and the sound of tambourines and maracas, as everyone (young and old) shared in the magic of the moment.
Residents beamed with delight, joining in the singing and tapping along to the festive tunes.
Thanks to everyone’s generosity, the holidays were made a little brighter for our elderly friends at ARCARE. A beautiful reminder of the power and kindness of community, and the joy of giving.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to lighting up the holidays for others. You truly made this Christmas one to remember, not only for the recipients, but for everyone who took part in this special celebration.
