Our Unit 3 Business Management students and staff recently travelled out to the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery for an engaging and immersive learning experience.
This excursion offered students valuable insights into Operations Management. As part of their current area of learning, students observed semi-automated production processes, heard from the General Manager about the businesses development, day-to-day running, long term planning, improvement strategies, and sustainability and global practices, and explored how a regional business runs behind the scenes.
From taste-testing new products to handcrafting their own chocolate, students were able to connect theory with practice - highlighting the power of real-world learning to enhance classroom understanding.
