The building of our new St Catherine of Bologna Campus is well underway. At the start of the year, we introduced the new campus names, with the current Greenvale Campus to be known as the St Clare of Assisi Campus. These two female saints are both Franciscan, following the example of St Francis by living lives of poverty and caring for others. St Clare of Assisi is the Patron Saint of Television, which makes her a fitting choice for our STEAM focused campus. The St Catherine Campus will have a focus on Performing Arts, which makes this saint a great choice as she is the Patron Saint of Artists, and was a beautiful musical, writer and poet herself.

Stage 1 is progressing well, with an Administration building, Visual Arts building and Learning Neighbourhood of 12 classrooms all showing great development. We are trialling some versatile furniture options with current students at St Clare to help us decide on the best furniture options for classes.

A new campus needs new staff and we have begun to advertise for teachers to join this exciting opportunity. We are also planning Stage 2, which will include our Performing Arts building and another Learning Neighbourhood of 16 classrooms, which has strong references to Bologna in Italy as the ‘City of Colonnades’.
