Welcome to our exciting news series, "Growing Leaders", where we shine a light on our exceptional young leaders. In this edition, we're excited to introduce Grace, our wonderful Community Vice Captain.

Name.
Grace Tully.

Tell us a little about yourself.
I am currently a Year 11 student. Outside of school I play netball and am a part of the Australian Air Force Cadets. I enjoy listening to music and my favourite subjects at school are Biology and Psychology.

What inspired you to take on a leadership role at Kolbe?
I was inspired to take on a leadership role at Kolbe by my experiences as a leader within the AAFC as well as by the previous leaders of the school who empowered me to also put myself out there.

What are the qualities or habits of a leader that you admire?
I admire qualities of empathy, honesty and resilience within a leader.

How do you choose to emulate those same qualities as a leader?
I will do my best to emulate those same qualities by building connections with the other student leaders, maintaining a positive outlook when faced with a challenge and by considering other perspectives in certain situations.

How do you aim to build connections and strengthen the community as a student leader?
I aim to build connections and strengthen the community as a student leader by establishing more friendships within the student leadership team so that we can work together on various occasions with a strong understanding of how everyone can help out.

What advice would you give to other students who aspire to become leaders?
Stay true to your own character. I personally find this the single best way to develop yourself as a person and as a leader. Always communicate your ideas without cutting anyone off and try your best to build friendships and connections where you can.
