An enjoyable art adventure for the class!

The Matisse Environment in C1.10 was created earlier this term by the 7A Art class. They were inspired by the work of Henri Matisse and his Cut-Outs as well as the Stained Glass Windows he created in The Rosary Chapel, Vence, France.

The class learnt about colour theory, analogous and split complementary colour schemes as well as organic shapes. They enjoyed the process of creating their individual colour shapes to become part of the entire scheme.

Some thoughts of the students are:

“I am proud of the outcome” Aidan

“Not too shabby!” Jake

"I think it’s good as it gives the room a pop of colour” Shania

"I like the design because it lifts the room” Chris
