Year 9 Camp - LEAD Program

Year 9 students attended the Portsea Camp on Monday 20 June 2022 - Wednesday 22 June 2022. The camp formed part of the assessment for the LEAD Program, providing students with an opportunity to engage with authentic learning experiences that enabled them to further their discovery of self. Students worked on both team, class based and individual challenges that enabled the consolidation of key knowledge and understanding. The camp linked with the STEM Modules students completed as part of the LEAD Program, with students engaging with an environmental and sustainability inquiry. Congratulations to all the students and staff involved in the Year 9 Camp.

Year 10 Pathways Day and Work Experience Program

As part of the Senior Subject Selection process in preparation for 2023, all current Year 10 students have participated in the Year 10 Pathways Day and the College Work Experience Program. These initiatives enabled students to form connections with industry professionals, universities and local workplaces to explore areas of interest. Students also engaged with members of the College Curriculum Team to explore the revised VCAA Senior Secondary Pathways that will launch in 2023. These events will be complemented by the Year 10 Pathways Interviews and Year 11 2023 Information Evening that will be held in Term Three. The College congratulates all Year 10 students for their participation in these programs and wishes students the best of luck as they continue to prepare for Senior Subject Selection.

Semester One 2022 Reports

All Year 7-12 Semester One Reports will be available for families to download via SEQTA on Friday 24 June 2022. Families are encouraged to access the reports and engage in conversation with their daughter/son about key achievements and areas for future focus. The reports will be complemented by Online Parent Teacher Student Interviews in Term Three. Further details associated with the upcoming Parent Teacher Student Interviews will be circulated to families over the holiday period.

Commencement of Term 3 2022

Term Three commences for all students on Monday 11 July 2022.

Year 11 2023 Online Information Evening

As part of the transition and planning process for student learning in 2023, the College will be hosting an Online Information Evening aimed at explaining the pathway options for students in Years 11 and 12. The Information Evening will form the next stage of the 2023 Course Selection Process for current Year 10 students and their families, complementing the Senior Course Expo and Year 10 Pathways Day previously held.

This evening will be followed by Year 11 2023 Online Pathways Consults on Monday 25 July 2022. More details associated with these will be delivered to families at the commencement of Term Three.

Students are required to attend these events online with a parent/guardian to seek advice on the various pathways options available, gain access to documentation associated with the different stages of pathways planning and to confirm their 2023 selections.

Of particular interest for Year 11 2023 students and families will be information associated with the launch of the VCAA revised senior secondary pathways inclusive of the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), the VCE Vocational Major (VCE VM), the Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) and Vocational Education and Training (VET).
