On the February 18, 2022 the year 12s participated in their wellbeing day.
The day began with a presentation hosted by Lachlan from a mental health organisation called Wellio. He went through the four topics we may be struggling with this year; worrying during year 12, exam stress, purpose and thinking traps, and managing anxiety. Lachlan provided us with solutions to help us maintain a healthy mindset this year, while also giving us strategies that would help us in the future. He also taught us the differences between worry, stress and anxiety, and the different types of thinking traps we could be doing that are damaging our ability to have a healthy mindset going forward.
We also spent time as a PC class going through Wellio modules and discussing anxiety, stress and worry management strategies. For the last part of our day, we had a presentation hosted by the school counsellor, Mr Patrick Ryan, who talked to us about the resources available to all of us inside and outside of school.
