Year 12 Wellbeing Session on the Importance of Exercise for Wellbeing and Focus

On June 6 the fourth installment of the Year 12 Wellbeing Series took place, focusing on the importance of exercise for overall wellbeing and focus. Students had the privilege of hearing from Annabel Smith, a four-time Olympian and Bronze Medalist in Diving, who shared her inspiring journey of becoming a world-class athlete while managing the demands of training and schooling.
Annabel Smith captivated the audience as she discussed the challenges she faced and overcame on her path to success. She spoke about her experiences in managing injuries, balancing rigorous training schedules with academic commitments, and the sacrifices she made to pursue her dreams. Most importantly, she emphasized the role of physical fitness and exercise in maintaining a positive mental state and physical stamina to navigate the pressures she encountered.

Annabel's remarkable story served as a powerful reminder to students of the benefits of incorporating exercise into their daily lives.
