The Performing Arts Department has been abuzz with activity throughout Term 1, filled with lessons, clubs, private tuition, and performances that have showcased the diverse talents of our students. Each facet of the performing arts has been embraced wholeheartedly by both our students and staff.

One of the standout features of this term has been the growth and development of private tuition. Presently, 50 Kolbe students engage in weekly sessions, and it has been truly gratifying to witness their progress and improvement. None of this would have been achievable without the unwavering support of our dedicated tutors, whose guidance and encouragement have played a pivotal role in nurturing our students' talents.

The Kolbe Choir has seen a doubling in participation since last year. Every Tuesday, the group convenes during lunchtime to learn new material. Their dedication and enthusiasm has been commendable. The choir has performed on numerous occasions during Term 1, including singing the National Anthem at the swimming and athletics carnival, as well as participating in the Opening Mass and Easter Liturgy.

The 2024 Sound Team has been diligently training under the mentorship of Mr Max Langlands and Mr Carlos Gomez. The calibre of applications for these positions was exceptional, and we extend our congratulations to the following 10 students who have earned a place on the Sound Team:

Xavier Bondin - Year 8

Sandra Naoum - Year 8

Queen Timogan - Year 8

Nathan Rabbito - Year 9

Daniel Toma - Year 9

Harnoor Cheema - Year 10

Jaydina Humphreys - Year 10

Jack Portelli - Year 10

Kai Winter – Year 11

Samreet Walia - Year 12

As we bid farewell to another term, let us carry forward the spirit of creativity, resilience, and camaraderie that defines our Kolbe community. Together, let us continue to spread the joy of the performing arts to all who encounter it.
