The College continues to prioritise the health and safety of all members of the community within the context of COVID-19. Please find below an update to the previously published arrangements for the upcoming College Athletics Carnival. These updates have been made in accordance with the State Government health and safety protocols and the CECV School Operations Guide.

Transport: | Students are to provide their own transport to and from the venue. The College Charter Bus Service will be in operation as per the normal route but will travel directly to and from the venue rather than stopping at Kolbe Catholic College. |
Attendance Required: | All students across Years 7-12 are required to attend |
Normal College policies will apply for the duration of the event. All students are expected to participate in accordance with these. Whilst at the venue, students will be supervised by members of the Kolbe Catholic College staff.
Students are discouraged from bringing valuables (including phones and electronic devices) to the event. Kolbe Catholic College accepts no responsibility for any valuables that students may bring with them.
All students are expected to be in attendance at the College Athletics Carnival. The College will follow up all student absences. Any students not in attendance will be required to provide medical certification upon return to the College.
Please find below some additional information to assist with your planning for the event.
All families are required to provide students with consent for the carnival via Operoo. Students without consent provided will be unable to attend. To streamline the process for families, Operoo was set up so that families provided consent for both the Swimming and Athletics Carnival via one online form. This means that parents/caregivers who consented for their child to attend the College Swimming Carnival have also consented for them to attend the College Athletics Carnival.
Families requiring assistance with Operoo are encouraged to contact IT Helpdesk at the College.
To ensure the safety of all members of the community, student drop off/arrival at the venue will occur across two intervals. Students will be required to arrive at the venue at the following times:
At the conclusion of the event students will be dismissed. Families collecting students from the venue are asked to ensure that they are present in the Sprint Athletics Centre Carpark at 2.45pm.
Year 7 – 11 students will have the option of wearing their full Kolbe Catholic College Health and Physical Education Uniform or dressing in their House Colours.
If wearing the Health and Physical Education Uniform, all elements of the uniform (inclusive of footwear) are to comply with the various elements of the College Uniform Policy.
In accordance with the College Sun Smart Policy, all students are required to wear a hat and sunscreen.
Year 12 students will have the option of wearing their full Kolbe Catholic College Health and Physical Education Uniform or dressing in costume.
Year 12 students choosing to wear costumes should ensure they are appropriate and in line with the College mission, vision and values. Student costumes are not to incorporate masks, weapons or painted hair.
If wearing their Health and Physical Education Uniform, all elements of the uniform (inclusive of footwear) are to comply with the various elements of the College Uniform Policy.
In accordance with the College Sun Smart Policy, all students are required to wear a hat and sunscreen.
Students will have limited access to a small number of food trucks throughout the day. It is advised that each student provides their own food and drinks to avoid disappointment in the case that the food truck supplies are exhausted. The College takes no responsibility for any money that students may bring with them on the day.
As part of the College COVID Safe Plan and venue protocols, it is advised that students provide their own individually packaged food and drinks. Students are also encouraged to refrain from sharing food and drink.
Parents/Caregivers are welcome to attend the carnival to support their child. Guests that attend are required to:
As part of the College COVID Safe Plan and venue protocols, parents/caregivers that attend will be required to remain in the stipulated zoned area at all times and will not be able to interact with students. Guests are advised that the visibility of all carnival zones may be limited at times.
