On Friday 22 March, the Year 11 Kolbe Students donned their festive attire and celebrated a lovely evening at Melrose Reception Centre. Students arrived looking glamorous in their dresses and suits, ready to enjoy a three course meal and reflect on an eventful week, having also attended their Year 11 Single Gender Retreats on the Monday and the Tuesday.

During the night, students were able to enjoy some Covid safe entertainment in the form of a fashion parade, game of 'Freeze' at the tables and a dance off of sorts where both Teachers and students were able to display their best moves and versatility to a number of different musical genres.

While the night may have been a little different from previous formals, the students were grateful for the opportunity to spend time together as a cohort, in a beautiful setting, and enjoy themselves with games, good food, formal speeches and prizes.

It was an absolute pleasure to witness these students as they chatted and ate, mingled and captured, with photos, this milestone in their secondary school journey; an event, which last year would not have been possible.

Thank you again to the staff and students who attended and made the night the success that it was. A special thank you to Mr. Dane Calleja and Mrs. Kate O'Callaghan for all their work behind the scenes in ensuring that the night could go ahead in a safe and responsible way.
