Throughout term one Kolbe Catholic College has been able to engage the staff and students in a variety of opportunities to enhance our Catholic Faith and our Catholic Identity.

Students in year 7 attended a Reflection Day offsite which enabled them to explore their identity and sense of belonging at Kolbe Catholic College. At the senior end of the school, the Year 11 students took part in a two-day retreat where they were gently challenged to think about their roles in society and who they are choosing to become in the future. Both events have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from both students and staff.

The Kolbe Community celebrated Ash Wednesday by participating in a Liturgy which due to the five-day lock down went ahead online. Daily prayers in Pastoral Care and weekly Friday prayers as a whole school continue to take place led by the student leaders. Project Compassion fundraising has taken place during the Lenten Season.

During Holy Week, we will celebrate our Easter Liturgy on Holy Thursday, with our whole school Liturgy focussing on the theme of Jesus Washing the disciple’s feet.

We pray that all members of our community are blessed in a special way during the Easter Season this year.
