What is your role at Kolbe?
Learning Leader (English & Literacy)
What does a typical day at Kolbe look like for you?
It varies day-by-day, but usually it will involve teaching English and Literature and checking in with staff in the English faculty. Often, I will be asked to attend meetings with other leaders in the school.
What do you love most about working at Kolbe Catholic College?
The staff at Kolbe are passionate teachers who have been very welcoming and supportive. I'm enjoying working collaboratively to improve whole school literacy.

What is your favourite book to read?
How can you make me choose! I'd recommend my students the young adult novel Radio Silence by Alice Oseman.
What is your favourite food?
I love Thai food, especially pad see ew.
What is your favorite travel destination?
London, England or I'll visit family back home in Perth, Western Australia.
What was your first job?
Sales assistant at EB Games.
What are some of your pet peeves?
Slow walkers.
What is your favourite hobby?
Reading and writing fiction.
What is your hidden talent or something we mightn't know about you?
I speak fluent Japanese.
What is your favourite sporting team?
I don't follow sports very much (sorry!).
Who is someone that inspires you?
The author Octavia E. Butler.
How do you think people would describe you?
Funny, sociable but hardworking.
If you were stuck on a deserted island, what three things would you want to have?
A book (naturally!), sunscreen and the Choceur Salted Pretzel Chocolate from Aldi.
