On Monday, 11 May, Year 12 Business Management students had the privilege of hosting a special guest: Luke, a strategist from Canva Australia. Luke generously took time out of his busy schedule to share insights about his role, describe the operations at Canva, and outline the career path that led him to this exciting position.
Student, Agam Kaur reflected:
"The session with Luke was an enlightening experience, offering valuable real-world perspectives on starting and developing a business. As a lead strategist in corporate development who worked closely with Canva’s founders, Luke provided meaningful insights into their backgrounds and journey behind building the business. He highlighted the foundations that drove Canva's growth and evolution into a globally successful company.
Luke also discussed the operations and innovations that help maintain Canva’s position as one of Australia's leading technology companies on a worldwide stage. Additionally, Luke shared his own personal experiences, outlining how his role involves identifying growth opportunities, analysing markets, and supporting major business decisions.
