It has been a vibrant and inspiring start to the year in Visual Arts. Our Years 10, 11 and 12 Visual Art and Art Creative Practice students enjoyed an excursion to Top Arts at the NGV Ian Potter Centre, along with a morning exploring NGV International and participating in a folio viewing. Year 11 and 12 Media students also attended Top Screens, where they viewed outstanding 2025 Year 12 media works. These excursions gave students valuable insight into art and media practices, techniques and processes, helping to inspire and inform their own creative work moving forward.

Our Year 7 students began the term exploring printmaking, with St Catherine of Bologna campus students producing impressive prints, beautifully displayed in the school by St Catherine’s Visual Arts team. While at St Clare’s our Year 11 Art Creative Practice class explored a variety of different art methods and materials, including the method of drawing, creating large-scale works on easels in the classroom.

Congratulations to students several past and current students, Agam Kaur, Leah Milich, Ethan Facciol and Lana Halligan whose work was featured in the MACS Creative Arts Exhibition as part of Catholic Education Week. This is a fantastic achievement and a wonderful recognition of the creativity and high standard of work produced. We are incredibly proud of their success, please take a moment to congratulate them!

An excellent start to the year and a great sign of the exciting work to come.
