We are proud to highlight the ongoing success of the Stride Forward program, an innovative initiative designed to support students’ emotional wellbeing and personal growth. This program provides a unique and supportive environment where students can develop confidence and resilience. The Stride Forward program uses equine-assisted activities, which provide students with opportunities to engage in practical, real-world experiences that foster both personal insight and skill development.
Students participate in a range of structured activities involving horses, allowing them to build trust, practise emotional regulation, and develop a sense of responsibility in a calm and supportive setting. The program is designed to be both engaging and therapeutic, fostering long lasting benefits for the students.
Students have the opportunity to catch, lead, groom, feed and care for the horses all whilst making connections to themselves and how they interact with their world.
We look forward to continuing this important work and supporting our students as they take confident strides forward in their learning and personal development.
