Help shape the future of Kolbe Catholic College
School Advisory Council Expressions of Interest
As Kolbe Catholic College continues to grow as One School Two Campuses, we are seeking Expressions of Interest from members of our College community who would like to contribute to the ongoing development and success of Kolbe through membership of our School Advisory Council.
What does the Council do?
The School Advisory Council provides a forum for discussion, discernment and community perspective, supporting the Principal and Parish Priest in making decisions for the good of the College and parish, with the wellbeing and outcomes of our students paramount.
The Council plays an important role in the life of the College, providing governance and oversight and collaboratively contributing to the strategic direction of the College. Working closely with the Principal, the Council also supports the College's alignment with, and faithfulness to, the MACS Charter and the highest standards of stewardship. The Council meets approximately 8 times a year.
We want our growing community represented.
We are particularly seeking representation from both of our campuses:
- St Clare of Assisi Campus, Greenvale
- St Catherine of Bologna Campus, Mickleham
We welcome Expressions of Interest from parents, caregivers, parish members and members of our wider College community who are passionate about Catholic education and committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for our students.
No particular expertise is required. However, it is important that Council members bring skills, experience and perspectives that complement those of other members and contribute to the responsibilities of the Council.
Key qualities and requirements.
We are looking for people who demonstrate:
- Excellent communication skills
- Commitment to Kolbe Catholic College and its Catholic identity
- An ability to respect matters of confidentiality and privacy
- A willingness to contribute constructively to discussion, discernment and decision-making
- The ability to obtain a Police Check and Working with Children Check
