Kolbe Catholic College Italian students were honoured and proud to take part in the Dante Alighieri Italian Poetry Recitation Competition once again this year. This event was held at the University of Melbourne at the Kathleen Fitzpatrick Theatre, near the Baillieu Library.

Students entered the theatre keen to do well and they certainly delivered excellent results. They had practised their chosen poem for several weeks and were delighted to recite their poem to the professors. Judges complimented on their diligent events and now, we await the outcomes, with much enthusiasm.

For lunch we ventured down Lygon Street in Carlton and enjoyed a delectable lunch at the famous Brunetti cafe. Lots of students made sure they also indulged in delicious sweets and even managed to take some home to their families.

We look forward to this fun event next year. Many thanks to our teachers Ms Castaldo, Ms Mora and Mr Musto for attending this wonderful excursion.
