There's nothing quite like the excitement and anticipation of the first day of school, and Friday 30 January was no exception at both our St Claire of Assisi Campus (Greenvale) and St Catherine of Bologna Campus (Mickleham). Our Year 7 students arrived bright and early, some with big, beaming smiles, others with a few butterflies in their stomachs, and many parents experiencing a whirlwind of emotions as they watched their children take the significant step into Secondary school.
A sense of new beginnings was felt across both campuses. For our Year 7 students, the first day marks the start of an exciting journey filled with new friendships, discoveries and opportunities to grow. Teachers and staff were on-hand to greet our newest members, helping ease first-day nerves and ensuring everyone felt welcomed and supported.
But it wasn't just our Year 7s feeling the first-day jitters. Our Year 12 students also stepped onto campus with a different kind of emotion, knowing this was their LAST first day of school. The final chapter of their high school journey has begun, bringing a mix of excitement, nostalgia and determination to make every moment count.
Meanwhile, the countdown is officially on for our Year 8, 9 and 10 students who return to school on Monday 2 February.
