Term One has started with self-discovery and excitement in the VCAL/VCE-VM/VPC Department. All students journeyed to PRACC in South Morang to find out more information about potential careers, work placement, S.B.A.T.'s and apprenticeships available to them. They got to try VR Headsets, and make their own Bakers Delight Finger Buns.
The Year 11s are currently on Work Placement throughout our wider community and by all reports from the teachers who have contacted or visited them, they are completely loving the experience and a couple of students have been offered ongoing part time jobs due to their diligence and commitment. Well done Year 11s it's great to see each of you making the most of the opportunities made available to you!
The Year 12s were afforded an opportunity some will never forget with a day at the Formula 1 Grand Prix on Thursday. From visiting the plethora of stalls and food trucks to understanding the sustainability aspects of running an event on this magnitude. Students were able to watch the Supercars on their practice laps, see a few of the drivers, and even watch a couple of accidents that stopped the rounds. But I think for many the pitstop challenge was what made the day "the best excursion ever".
