Thursday 15 October marked a significant milestone for our Year 12 students as they concluded their 13-year schooling journey, including six memorable years at Kolbe Catholic College. The week was filled with celebration, reflection, and heartfelt farewells as the College community gathered to honour the Class of 2026.
On Thursday, students and staff assembled for a formal ceremony dedicated to recognising the achievements and efforts of the graduating class. In a moving moment symbolic of tradition and renewal, the 2026 College Captains and Leaders officially passed the torch to the incoming 2027 Student Leadership Team. This ‘changing of the guard’ signified not only the end of one chapter but also the promise of new leadership and fresh perspectives. Outgoing Student Leaders were applauded for their commitment and service, receiving awards in acknowledgement of their efforts. A special highlight was the presentation of a park bench by the College Captains to Acting Principal, Kelley Revelman.
The assembly also celebrated individual and group excellence. The following awards were presented:
House Spirit Awards:
ADF Long Tan Award: Grace Tully
St Maximillian Kolbe Award: Angus Forman
Winning House: Dunlop
The assembly concluding with a stirring rendition of the College song, “Faith, Courage and Compassion.” The Year 12 students' voices rose above the microphoned choir, filling the hall with pride, unity, and hope for the future.
As we bid farewell to the Class of 2026, we celebrate not only their achievements but also the legacy they leave behind. We wish our graduates every success as they begin the next stage of their journey, confident that they carry with them the values and memories of their time at Kolbe Catholic College.
