On Thursday the 12 May, all students in Year 7, 8 and 9 were given the amazing opportunity of hearing former Police Officer and Cyber Safety Expert Susan McLean, speak about staying safe online.
Susan informed the students about their Social Media footprint and ways we can all stay safe and behave better when using the internet.
We heard about some of the dangers of the inappropriate use of apps such as Snapchat and Instagram, and Susan’s no-nonsense approach meant that the students were given very clear direction as to how they should be more conscious of how they interact with others online. It was a valuable lesson for everyone and many students commented that they had learnt something new after the presentation!
